I have worked in England, America, Canada, Norway and the Middle East and have taken responsibility for designing, engineering and supervising a wide variety of projects. These have required the ability to use both computer and hand design skills, a knowledge of offshore installation procedures. checking. site surveying and estimating. I have recruited and. trained technical staff and carried out all associated planning and administrative functions to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Six years in heavy industry (power stations, rolling mills etc.  Six years with petrochemical plants and refineries & Eight years in the offshore industry (mainly topside structures)

Mechanical/Piping Engineer with 22 years experience mainly in the Oil and Gas Industry, whose roles have encompassed the following areas: Maintenance & Construction Management, commissioning, quality assurance, quality control, inspection, estimating, quantity surveying and company representation. Has worked in the petrochemical, nuclear, iron & steel, hydraulic and commercial industries. Has held responsibility for the implementation of all mechanical related engineering activities, health, safety and environmental issues and provision of technical assistance to Superintendents and Contractors on large projects.

Experienced and committed engineer / manager with a flexible and adaptable approach having strong interface / co-ordination skills and a broad background in the Offshore and Onshore Oil and Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical fields. Proven ability to lead, administer and engineer complex Multi-discipline Projects through all phases from investigation and feasibility studies to concept through to detail design, construction, commissioning and operation. I have 22 years experience in the offshore industry covering Engineering design and Project Management with direct responsibility for project teams of up to 10 personnel. Design experience has included Flotel landings for the Brent Field, riser installation aids, 300 Tonnes module for BP Magnus, drilling rig modifications and Architectural design of the Ravenspurn accommodation modules. Project control work has covered the full range including design monitoring, bid evaluation, costing, claims, offshore work packs, onshore construction, offshore hook-ups/modifications, and Brown Field re-developments. Positions held have mainly been as a Client’s representative but also as a Contractor with closer control of the labour force. Specific discipline responsibilities have included Structural, Architectural, Fireproofing, Piping and HVAC.

Over thirty years experience of Instrumentation Engineering and Project Management in both the power generation and petro-chemical industries, using analogue and digital techniques for process control, monitoring, data logging and progress planning. Design, construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of turbine and boiler control systems, offshore analysers, metering, ESD, fire and gas, and hydraulic wellhead controls. Performed control and shutdown system audits and reliability analysis of new and existing ESD systems.

Has worked in many positions from Engineer to Site and Project Manager, in a wide range of countries and environments.
